The numbers speak for themselves. There is still a market for desirable properties in Vancouver East and Vancouver West.

Of eighteen single family properties listed in Vancouver East and West in the month of January, nine sold for over the asking price.


    • 9 houses listed under $2 million. 5 sold over asking.

    • 5 houses between $2 and $3 million. 2 sold over asking.

    • 4 houses listed over $3 million. 2 sold over asking.

Days on Market

On average, houses that sold over asking were also on the market for shorter periods.

As well, houses with lower asking price typically sold faster.


    • Under $2 milllion. 1 – 10 days on market.

    • Between $2 and $3 million. 2 – 16 days on market.

    • Over $3 million. 4 – 16 days on market.

Your home’s value in this market

As we enter the Spring market, it’s likely that demand will grow. It’s not certain that there will be enough listings to satisfy demand.

This puts sellers in a good position if they’re well informed and professionally guided on preparing and pricing their home for sale.
